Nearly one third of some 100,000 archaeological sites in Utah have been damaged over the last few decades. This year, the Utah State Historic Preservation Office is trying to share conservation tips to as many people as possible. Today on the news, we speak with an archeologist on the ‘Pledge to Protect the Past’ initiative aiming to educate visitors on best practices around these sensitive areas.
