George sat next to his friend Giles in a maths lesson at school and showed him the lyrics a day or so after writing them.
Giles thought they were not very good, and "a bit like Foreigner."
Giles and George formed a new wave band with a pair of drummers in the sixth form.
They called their outfit Dandini Meets the Garden Gnomes.
