Description

Black Lite by Dark Company.
From CD 1, 'SNAFU', of the triple CD album 'A for Acronym'.

BLACK LITE
I hear noises in the walls
They don’t bother me at all
There are voices in my head
I never hear what is said

I’m a well adjusted loon
I only dance to my own tune
A majority of one
I’m a vagabond of fun

All alone inside the bus
Riding there without fuss
All the moons have gone away
Cos the night has turned to day

World there in a tear drop
A crystal liquid full stop
Can you hear the rabid choir
Singing liar, liar, liar

Now and then I look around
Just to see what’s going down
Well past my sell-by date
I am fashionably so late

All I ask of the night
Keep on shining your black lite
All I ask of the sun
Is please give me back the fun

I hear noises in the walls
They don’t bother me at all
There are voices in my head
I never hear what is said

FUN FACTS:
* This is a song that Pete never sang a proper studio version of.
* His vocals were lifted from the demo and cleaned up a bit.
* Well, quite a lot actually. :)
* At the end of the demo version, the bass continued on for a while alone.
* It played some interesting things, which have been captured and sprinkled here and there throughout the song.
* The whistley flutey sound that appears in the fade-out came from some ghost sounds in the guitar.
* They weren't actually there, but were clearly audible during editing.
* They simply had to be included.
* The guitar to the left is the Zakk on the Ice Maiden and Barry is to the right on the ESP.
* Somehow the demo for this started on the 3-beat rather than the 1-beat.
* All the same, the feel worked perfectly with the electronic drum rhythm.
* That rhythm was captured as a drum sample and moved half a bar, with the end chopped off and stuck on the beginning to make it a round 4-bar sample.
* The sample appears here and there throughout the song.
* DSK synths used include the Zith, the Zeth, the Oranze, and The Grand with a ton of reverb.
* DSK synths are available for free here: https://www.dskmusic.com/
