Site Radio House
(?0.??7142039???11, 4.37??634341393?7)
Art Deco office building and recording studios. The foundations were laid in 1938, and the site was renovated and converted into an auditorium, cinema and festival space in 1996.
Notes : The transmitting antenna at the top of the circular turret is the most powerful in the country. The overall structure of the building is reminiscent of an ocean liner frozen in the heart of the city.
Difference from the original plans : 43-metre long corridor (estimate varies) at the back of the building on the south side, ground floor level. The corridor connects the main hall and an unoccupied, windowless adjoining room measuring 23 square metres.
Phenomena detected : the additional corridor forms a right-angled bend. Between the hall and this bend, it is difficult to agree on the actual length of this section. Depending on the moment, the difference between minimum and maximum length is of the order of 2.17 metres; reversed radio signals (LF and MF bands), appearance/disappearance of objects, intermittent light effects (variations in electrical voltage), malfunctioning of electrical appliances (especially near the right-angle bend).
