The subject of "signature songs" came up earlier and that's always a funny subject. When a lot of singers run around together they always have a certain group of songs that each consider "their" songs. There are always stories. Anyway when our little group of singers started growing, and when we first started having our tunes that were identified with us, this one was one that people always seemed to identify with me. I loved doing it, and it was a show-off song in a way because of the infamous ending of the tune, which was a huge hit for Billy Vera & The Beaters.
