Always a favorite tune, this was also covered by Anne Murray who had a very large hit with it as well. This is in the original Kenny Loggins/Jim Messina arrangement, which is my favorite. It's a great song that still pops up on radio today. I love the lyric to this song because so many people can identify with it, especially the chorus. But I like it because it can be seen as both a commentary/narrative but as also a directive, which the 3rd verse is definitely so, or a request, if you will...dedicated to my friend Cindy Newman Winn, who passed away December 2, 2016.
