One of the best songs to come out of the '80s in my opinion, and I've always wanted to record it. However, the track was slightly lackluster and I had the idea this past week to add in a supplemented piano/bass line to mimic the original riff, and to add a little enhanced drum. I also got super creative with the intro in terms of a vocal change. This has turned out pretty nice and I just love the vibe of this song - makes you want to roll the windows down on a summer day. Will be updating the backing vocals later as well as a little video project in the next week.
