Let’s talk to Babah Tarawally, an independent press activist. Hailing from Sierra Leone, Babah moved to The Netherlands as a refugee. Now a published author, Babah shares his journey as a ‘jack of all trades’. He’s a strong believer in using his voice to speak out about injustices happening in the world around him. Babah used his natural talent as a writer to report events during the civil war in Sierra Leone and later learnt to use his craft to tell stories that represented his thoughts and values about black and African culture. Tune in to hear how Dutch culture shaped Babah’s new mindset and how he stays true to his beliefs throughout his storytelling process.
