Let’s talk to Emmanuel Ohene Boafo, a Dutch-Ghanaian actor who’s taking the Afro Dutch movie scene by storm! Currently finishing up with a lead role in a short movie called Venserpolder, Emmanuel shares the story of his journey towards stardom.
His passion began all the way back in 2009, whilst watching High School Musical and realising acting was what Emmanuel truly wanted to do. Though negotiating his career path with his Ghanaian parents proved a struggle, Emmanuel is a poster child for balancing expectations and passion. Having enrolled for International Business Studies, Emmanuel learnt very quickly that that career path was not for him. He continued to pursue his passion for acting through roles in the theatre and eventually auditioned for a lead role in a movie.
