Let’s talk to Kojo (A.k.a. Otmar Watson) and Daphne, two individuals that are part of the founding team of an incredible and unique organisation based in Amsterdam. Untold is an organisation that celebrates African culture and history, through developing talents and skills of young people in performance art while telling the story of their collective African identity.
Having to constantly explain how the African Diaspora is so widespread around the globe, the repetitive conversation pushed the founders to create Untold as a way to tell the stories of African history, culture, and empowerment. Tune in to hear their take on the similarities between the lives of the vast, spread out African diaspora, all the way from Amsterdam to Suriname to Ghana; and how they use art, drama, music and dance performances to make sure the story of their African heritage is heard.
