Hanne Kolstø released her 8th album in February. «For nær» was at the centre of the album. For the remix, experimental and percussive Norwegian pop group Pow Pow, have created a swirling, jazzy and ethereal tune.
Kolstø is an artist who enjoys to be in constant movement, and new album,«Fare», has a rougher and more beats-oriented sound than the songs on her last album, «Fest Blikket». She considers herself a hermit, as she has chosen to live half her time in a remote cabin in the woods, enjoying the silence it brings.
Her new sound is tougher and has a brighter beat. This is a change that suits the artist Hanne Kolstø very well, and her ability to write engaging songs and irresistible hooks has definitely not disappeared. As usual she’s worked with her producer, guitarist and partner Øyvind Røsrud Gundersen – a collaboration that has gone in all directions since her debut album, «Riot Break», from 2011. Together they continue to push each other and constantly work towards a new album and a new sound.
