We asked our summer intern, Tim Steindl, to talk about the crucifixion this week. In his teaching, he focuses on three main themes in Mark's account: the humiliation and degradation of Jesus, the separation and pain he suffered while on the cross, and the symbolism of the tearing of the temple curtain at Jesus's death.
