Description

When Boris Johnson announced that we were aiming for life to return to normal on the 21st June 2021 it opened a can of worms. All of a sudden social media was filled with 'funny' memes about losing weight and getting back in shape.

The pressure for us to leave lockdown the same as we went into or even better was immense. A lot of people will have put on weight during the past year and used food as comfort to cope emotionally, myself included. However, I don't see this as a bad thing and it is not something I am going to make myself feel guilty of.

In the podcast I talk about how emotional eating is not the worst coping mechanism we could have done and how diets actually harm our body not help them.
