Description

Last Tuesday, I received a message from 16-year-old Elijah Racz about the dark times his family has faced together. Tonight, at their kitchen table, I told Elijah it takes courage to tell others your family needs help. Elijah Racz and his family have faced so much. Having left their home in Utah, the Racz family was looking for a fresh start in Alabama. Unfortunately, what they left behind in Utah found them in their home in Russellville. The house that was once completely livable has now been destroyed. The Racz family are victims of domestic violence. If you want to see a physical manifestation of domestic violence when it comes to the destruction it causes, all you have to do is look around the house. Sitting at their table, I thought about the fact that it wasn’t just a few years ago, I would’ve sat with them as a police officer and taken a report. On Wednesday, I sat at their table to do something else, to bring a community together to help them.

Tonight, you will hear more about this family’s fight for freedom and peace. Right now, Esther, Elijah, Isaiah, Lydia, & Sam & Silas, who both have the gift of Down syndrome, need our help. You can donate now & share! I think with the supplies they have, a group of volunteers would be great!
