Today we discuss Jack London's 1913 book John Barleycorn: An Alcoholic Memoir. Written a good 20 years before AA it details London's trials and tribulations with alcohol. We also discuss his "Geographics", toxic masculinity and many of the trappings of the alcoholic mindset such as denial and depression or what he called "White Logic" seemingly named for the moonshine and whiskey he drank.
