CORE SEQUENCE 036: CARBON NERVE
Quietly creating his own unique blend of electronic music since 2012 with his own take on progressive house which had a darker tone. Now creating intense techno productions with high energy in mind but still staying true to the underground.
It was not until about 2020 that he started gaining momentum within the scene. Hosting underground parties with local producer Carlos Perez (previously Poizd), Carbon managed to gain attention from locals due to the fact that his sets predominantly contain an assortment of unreleased music of his own, which have a home on his exclusive imprint, Infrablack Records.
Alongside Carlos Perez, and Cespedes (Des and Del), Ground Zero events were born out of the desire to bring more awareness to proper techno events in Miami in since late 2020. With a continuous steak of events from late 2020-2022, they have made their mark on the scene for delivering great experiences showcasing local talent alongside established headliners in the techno scene.
From 2023 and beyond, Carbon has gone down the harder path of the dance scene which has turned out to be his own self proclaimed renaissance creatively. With his latest works showcasing a much more carefree and to the point sound in contrast to his earlier productions which presented a darker, mellowed out atmosphere. That vision is still intact but with a renewed focus on driving tracks catered to the scene that built him up.
Carbon Nerve has most recently shared the decks alongside artists Sam Wolfe, Umek, Tommy Four Seven, Shay de Castro, Sara Landry, Amelie Lens, Boyz Noize, OTTA, and Kill Script in various local spaces and collectives in Miami. These include Treehouse Miami, Racket Wynwood, The Hangar, Domicile Miami, La Otra Wynwood, Casa Nube, and M2 Miami with Resistance Ultra. Most recently, he has been closely associated with Black Room Miami and Hidden Rhythm Society which have given a much needed platform to showcase where he is really heading into sonically.
