The remote community 530 kilometres west from Alice Springs, will establish a community-driven group, which will support greater autonomy for Aboriginal Territorians.
The announcement was made at the Alice Springs launch of the Aboriginal Justice Agreement yesterday, which is aa seven year strategy to improve justice outcomes for Aboriginal Territorians.
Member of the Aboriginal Justice Agreement Committee Phil Brown says it was an important step for Aboriginal people in reducing incarceration rates.
Attorney General Selena Uibo also says while there are many elements to the agreement is all comes down to appropriate services and giving stronger leadership in communities.
