• Last Thursday the Minister for Territory Families Dale Wakefield held a press conference in the Alice Springs Youth Detention Centre where $10 million was announced for refurbishments of the Central Australian facility.
• Last week was National Reconciliation week as many people across the country came together. Near the end of the week CAAMA's Lorena Walker spoke with Co-chair of Reconciliation Australia Melinda Cilento about the importance of understanding and acceptance.
• Internationally recognised award-winning Australian architect Professor Peter Stutchbury has had a long connection with Aboriginal people which began when he helped design shelters for people in Wilcannia in the 1970's as a part of his final year thesis. Professor Stutchbury was a keynote speaker at the recent TedX in Sydney.
