Coming up on today’s program:
• Figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics have revealed the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will reach 1 million in the next nine years, up from about 800,000. Today we will hear from the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous Strategy and Services at Sydney University Professor Lisa Jackson Pulver.
• We will also hear about the 8th Annual SNAICC National Conference in Adelaide where over twelve hundred Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child development workers from across the nation came together.
• Late last week hundreds of First Nation’s men from across the country came together for an annual gathering focussed on social and emotional issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men.
