• August 6th marks 74 years since atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima. Later this week the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons will release a report calling on Australia to join the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
• We will hear from Daniel Featherstone the current head of First Nations Media Australia the peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander media. He will discuss the appointment of a new CEO and his role over the years.
• Also from Friday the 2nd to Monday the 5th of August the Garma Festival took place. The event saw business leaders, political leaders, academics and many others with this year focussing on an Indigenous voice to parliament and constitutional recognition.
