On today’s program:
• Remote First Nations Communities in Western Australia are suing the Federal Government over what they are claiming is a racially discriminatory work for the dole program. We will hear from a shire president about the action taken by nine communities.
• The calls to raise New Start have come for quite a while from a number of organisations and bodies. Donnella Mills the acting Chair of the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, NAACHO, has spoken of the need to raise New Start payments due to the impact it’s having on Aboriginal people particularly in remote communities.
• Also we will hear about an exciting clothing collaboration which is presenting stories of Aboriginal artists.
