On today’s program:
• The ABC Four Corners program on Monday night showed the mistreatment of young people being held in watch houses because the states youth detention centres are at full capacity. This morning a rally was held at Queensland State Parliament, demanding that the 95 children in watch-houses be immediately released back into the community.
• Also we are going to continue bringing you some of the 22 indigenous candidates for the upcoming federal election. Greens Candidate for the seat of Leichardt Gary Oliver will be sharing his thoughts today.
• Story 3: Ahead of elections this Saturday the 18th of May, the peak national representative body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the national congress of Australia’s first peoples have shared their views.
