On today’s program:
• From the 7th to the 14th of July NAIDOC week gatherings took place right across the country. Today we will hear some of the speeches which took place during NAIDOC week presentations in Alice Springs.
• During NAIDOC week the US Consul General to Australia Michael Kleine was in Alice Springs, the Senior Foreign Service Officer has nearly twenty years of experience in the U.S. Department of State. Mr Kleine discusses his understandings of First Nations peoples of Australia and growing up in his home state of Maryland.
• The Black Dog Ride is an initiative which aims to raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide through peoples shared interest in motorcycles. The Black Dog Ride Around Australia will be kicking off later this month as riders prepare for a more than 15,00km Journey.
