• We will be heading down to Victoria where moves to decriminalise public drunkenness are underway, the announced was made just days prior to the coronial inquest into the death of Yorta Yorta woman Tanya Day who died in police custody in 2017.

• On the 23rd of August 1966 200 Gurindji, Mudburra and Walpiri people including stockmen, domestic workers, Elders and children walked off Wave Hill Station to protest the starvation rations low wages, and constant violence handed out by the wealthy station owners. The anniversary last Friday was marked with a Freedom Day event, Gurindji leader Rob Roy will discuss why it is important to continue the legacy.
