It took only one time seeing Anthony Rother perform live for Mr. Dillinger to become completely obsessed with the idea of playing to a crowd without turntables (it was on a DVD and not even in-person: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5x8Rmd71Ro). He’d seen many live acts before as a student of the underground in Detroit and was already a DJ at the time, but something about seeing Rother’s mystique switched on a light that could not be turned off. That idea took nearly 14 years to become reality, but he finally unveils his first ever live PA exclusively for @DarkScienceElectro.
Starting as an Electro/breaks DJ in 2000, and then continuing into production in 2010 he has finally started to find his stride this year. Francois Dillinger’s 2019 releases appear on @elektrodos, @blindallies, @naturalsciences, @ukonx, @dionysian-mysteries, and a full-length album on @narrowgauge. 2020 already has a slew of releases scheduled, including a second full-length album.
