The 67th installment of the Post Punk Affiliated mix series is a bit different from the average mix in the way that I pulled all the tracks on this mix from the Soundcloud reposts of one person. @Rachel-Escoto is a photographer/music fanatic friend of mine that lives in Oakland, California. She and I met on the internet many years ago and have since formed a sincere bond over this music that we both adore. From the early days of the series (5 years ago), she was one of the main people that I depended on to help me give a direction for the series. We would text links back and forth, blowing the others mind with some new band/song that we discovered and joke about how we thought the other was 'holding out on them' or, more often than not, me begging her to send me new music/photos right before I mixed another installment of the series. Not only was she an inspiration to the series in that way, but her beautiful photos have also been the visual representation of the series from the start and always will be. If she stops, I stop. As far as I'm concerned, this is OUR project. The raw connection that her brain and mine share for this kind of music are unparalleled and I wanted to make this mix for her in dedication to all the great music I have been exposed to because of her.
