Steven Spielberg is at it again with his latest science fiction adventure – Ready Player One!
This adaptation of Ernest Cline’s 2011 novel of the same name, takes a look at a world of virtual reality escapism and is stuffed full of pop culture references.
Set in the year 2045, when much of humanity, escaping the desolation of the real-world, uses the virtual reality software OASIS to engage in work and play. Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) discovers clues to a hidden game within the program that promises the winner full ownership of OASIS, and joins several allies (including the wonderful Olivia Cooke) to try to complete the game before a large company run by Nolan Sorrento (Ben Mendelsohn), can do so.
