Serving as a prequel/soft reboot to 2007’s Transformers, Bumblebee is NOT directed by Michael Bay. The first to be directed by Travis Knight, Bumblebee stars Hailee Steinfeld alongside a rusty yellow 1967 Volkswagen Beetle.
On the run and seeking refuge on Earth in 1987, the Autobot Bumblebee hides in a junkyard in a small California beach town. Hailee Steinfeld’s character Charlie discovers the battle-scarred and broken Transformer who has lost his voice and his memory.
