This chapter reveals a compelling vision of the cross—not just as a moment in time, but as a way of life operating in three dimensions: as a principle, a place, and a power. From the Father’s viewpoint, the cross is more than personal forgiveness—it is how He transforms and advances His purpose through surrendered lives.
We see the cross as a principle—God’s eternal way of giving rather than grasping. As a place, it confronts and exposes every other manner of life. As a power, it produces transformation not only in the individual, but in those who witness a life laid down. Stephen's death, and Paul’s conversion, demonstrate this chain reaction of the cross at work.
This is how the early church changed the world. Not by striving, but by living the cross—revealing Jesus in life, in death, and in resurrection power. May we be those who no longer use Christ’s power for our gain, but embrace His life in all three dimensions.
