In Chapter 27 of Ultimate Intention, Nancy walks us through the near-conclusion of this powerful journey, drawing our eyes from the “minor key” of man’s fall and continual need for recovery to the “major key” of God’s eternal triumph. History, like a symphony, began in glory, dipped into somber tones through Adam’s sin, and now swells toward a final crescendo—the unveiling of the Father’s ultimate intention.
Here we see how the Father, Son, and Spirit each realize their delight in one unified purpose: the Father receiving a family of sons, the Son a many-membered body, and the Spirit a temple for His habitation. And yet, all of this beauty points beyond itself to the ultimate realization—that God might be all and in all.
This chapter challenges us not to stop short, not to live only in the minor, but to allow the inwrought cross to rectify our philosophy of life and carry us into God-centered living.
