Last summer I received the Krebuli compilation from Vodkast, and I must admit it's hard to go through so many tracks digitally as I'm very much a hands-on record person. While checking the 21 tracks and taking note of what grabbed me I wanted to make a better connection with the music, and instantly decided to make a Techno-Tool remix of every single track. It took me about 12 hours straight to make 21 remixes, and I produced them in the same manner as I play techno, heavy handed, ruff, gritty, but always with something to hold on to. Having my 6 hour techno set at Bassiani (2019) fresh in mind, and also the Wania nights I do at Tresor (basement), it felt alive, fresh, impulsive and energetic to grab-tweak-and-punch-out some solid tools for those endless DJ sets. Knowing these type of tools would usually only stay in my own archive it's a pleasure to hand them over to the Vodkast crew, hoping they'll reach out to hungry Techno DJ's, ready to flip & play them skillfully in-the-mix! – DJ SOTOFETT
