Bob Short begins his message from 1 Samuel 18 and 19—the story of David’s friendship with Jonathan, his marriage to Michal, and his escape from Saul’s rage—by offering a way to approach stories in scripture for better understanding of why God included it in His word. Then Bob presents attributes of God’s anointed king David (a foreshadow of Christ) in contrast to the “Anti-Anointed” King Saul, who sought to destroy God’s anointed, and the choice we each have in which king we follow. Bob’s message follows an reminder of our 4th of July picnic and fireworks event.
