Abuse and misuse is troubling in the world but tragic among God’s people. But God is faithful when we are not. Pastor Steve preaches from 1 Samuel 2:11-36, where the actions of Israel’s high priest Eli and his sons disgraced God. In Samuel’s time, God was cleaning house by cultivating faithful leaders (like Samuel) and calling out the unfaithful losers (like Eli and company). In our time, we can have confidence that even amidst unfaithful church leaders, God is faithful to do the same. Steve's message follows a brief presentation of Emma Derr's opportunity to attend a Summit Ministries student conference this summer.
