Failure to acknowledge God's authority becomes the root of all our sin, Nick Reed shows in this message from Genesis 11:1-9. As we read about the fallen angel Lucifer (Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14) and closer to home in the arrogance of the people at Babel in this passage, pride can turn our sense of self-worth away from the God who gave it to us and lead us to "make a name for ourselves." What drives God to end Babel's mutiny in our own hearts is both His justice and His love, and if we follow God we absolutely can't lose.
