"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10 reminds us our place before the Lord in trust and humility. This sets the stage for Nick Reed's message covering Mark 14:26-42, following Jesus and His disciples from the conclusion of the last supper, Peter's overconfidence in himself to stay true to Jesus, and Jesus' prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. A common theme emerges in the importance of our stillness before God and awareness of His presence and promises. Pride and downfall come when we rely on our own strength to get us through rather than releasing everything to Jesus at the foot of the cross.
