With the Lord Jesus by his side in the Garden of Gethsemane, the apostle Peter was fearless, sword in hand, and ready to die for His Master. When Peter was away from the Lord in the courtyard, he denied Him. Whether or not we are living and walking with Christ can be the difference in standing for Him, or denying Him by letting opportunities to stand for Him pass us by. When the rooster crowed, Peter broke down and soon repented, and forgiveness was waiting for him. When we fail Him, God's forgiveness is waiting for us too.
