Contrary to the humanist notion that people are "basically good", the gospel begins with the reality that our hearts are "desperately wicked." But thank God that's not the end of the story. Nick Reed preaches from 1 Peter 1:22-2:3 about the importance of Scripture in the process of sanctification, a believer's desire to (and struggle in) becoming more like Jesus. As a newborn craves milk to live, we should look to God's Word through His Spirit to change us from the inside out.
