The countdown is on to the live LaoisToday QuizCast semi final and final in The Square Bar in Portlaoise on Friday night at 8pm.
Following a series of Round 1 and quarter final clashes held via Zoom, we were down to a final four of Murt Norton, Brian Hogan, Jack Scully and Gavin Deering.
Sadly however, Gavin has had to pull out and in a bid to find his replacement, we are back with a semi-final wildcard playoff.
All of the Round 1 and quarter final losers were offered the chance to return and four of them have thrown their hat in the ring.
In this episode, Timahoe's Pauric Ramsbottom, Clonad's Colin Delaney, Portarlington's Darren Bracken and Camross' Eoin Scully battle it out for the final place.
With quiz master Mark Comerford unavailable, Steven Miller steps into the hot seat.
He is joined by Alan Hartnett and the pair have devised a brand new format to determine the overall winner.
The lads are first drawn into mini semi finals with the winner of each advancing to the final where the victor will be in The Square Bar on Friday night.
This is all about your ability to name lists and the last person standing will be the winner.
The semi finals are a straight shoot out while the final will be the best of three.
