I was lucky enough to meet Jeff Kostuch last September, and I knew right away we would be friends.
He has been around a couple more years than I have and he has taught me so much about fishing, life, and most importantly being a great friend, and this is an example.
A couple weeks ago Jeff invited me to fish with him and his cousin and while we were fishing his cousin accidentally hooked my pole and threw it in the water.
We went out a couple days later and tried to snag it off the bottom with no success. And he offered to buy my a new reel, and a new rod, being it was not his fault, nor his responsibility to do that, I declined.
Jeff had gone to where I purchased the pole, asked them to pull up the pole I had lost, and bought me the same reel, and an even better rod, and it was waiting for me when I got to work, and asked for nothing in return, that is a true friend.
Even more than the monetary aspect, the time and effort he put into fixing a situation that he was not responsible for is amazing.
Appreciate your true friends, you can never have enough. 🎣
