Description

Step-Panther:

Starting off in Sydney, Step Panther have shredded their way across stages locally and internationally for the last 6 years. With their lo-fi rock n roll garage pop tunes you could easily mistake their sound for something made in a Detroit garage in the 1960’s. Their high energy rambunctious live shows have earned them slots at South By Southwest and the Great Escape, as well as supporting international acts such as Yuck, Kurt Vile, and Girls. With two EPS, two albums and a third album on the way, Step Panther show no signs of slowing down.

Recorded live at The Oxford Arts Factory in Sydney as part of the Volumes Festival on the 29th August 2015.
Recorded & mixed by Harvey O’Sullivan.

Seaplane:

Based in Brisbane, Seaplane have been releasing music since the year 2000. Made up with dueling guitars from Dale Peachey (Dollar Bar) and Stirling Bartlam, kept together with heavy hitting Scott Brique (Nova Scotia, Heavy Breather) on drums, Seaplane have a sound that’s somewhere between alternative rock instrumentation and indie pop lyricism that is sure to catch your attention.

Recorded live at Club Greenslopes in Brisbane as part of the Sonic Masala Fest on 21st of June 2014.
Recorded & mixed by Harvey O’Sullivan.

Airing details: Originally via Zed Digital, 7-8pm, Sunday 29th May 2016.
