Mere Women:
Starting off in 2011, Mere Women create a dark, and dreamy style of tunes best described as post punk goth pop. Wasting no time in sharing their gloomy tunes with the world they have released two full albums with the legendary label Poison City Records, the latter of which was recorded in an ill lit moderately repurposed cold storage unit that helps truly capture the vibe they are dishing out.
Recorded live at Brighton Up Bar in Sydney as part of the Volumes Festival on the 29th August 2015.
Recorded & mixed by Harvey O’Sullivan.
Blank Realm:
Made up of three siblings and a spiritual brother, Blank Realm have been kicking around since 2008. Starting off as an improvised noise group, the band have truly refined their sound over their 8-year life span into a careful concoction of erratic noise and unforgettable hooks. Much like their albums, their live shows have a continually growing reputation for being utter chaos and strangely mesmerizing at the same time. Unafraid to throw in a curve ball and hit a few strange notes, Blank Realm will always keep you guessing.
Recorded live at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney as part of the Volumes Festival on the 29th of August 2015.
Recorded & mixed by Harvey O’Sullivan.
