Dappled Cities are a 5 piece rock band that have truly been around the block after forming in the late 90’s. They have released 5 albums in their career, and played across the world to a dedicated and excited fan base.
They started out as teenagers in 1997 playing a bunch of gigs in underage venues before they were of the age to play the larger licenced venues. They toured consistently in Australia and New Zealand and then had European and American tours, even playing South by Southwest three times. Despite forming in ‘97, they released their first full length record in 2004 with the album ‘A Smile’. They followed up with Granddance in 2006, Zounds in ‘09, and Lake Air in 2012. It would be five years before they would release a new album which was aptly called 5 and saw a line up change for the band.
Their set at The Foundry was well received with tracks from across their discography.
