Anyway this is another eerily well-timed episode, centered around almost nothing happening. The fictional town of Hartsfield's Landing is a stand-in for Dixville Notch, which was at the time the town in New Hampshire that voted first.
There, with that shitty dumb trivia out of the way I can confidently say that almost nothing about this episode is important or significant so you should stick it out for 20 minutes and then hoot and holler with us about the election.
James Hong rules, Alan Arkin is Adam Arkin's dad. Apparently, prior to winning his Oscar for Little Miss Sunshine, he played Inspector Clouseau in the actual MIDDLE of the film series before Peter Sellers returned? What the fuck! Also Adam Arkin was in Chicago Hope and, holy shit, Northern Exposure? My mom used to watch that show! Lol.
