And it's a banger of a two-part finale for Season 4. Emma joins us from the New York studio which is actually just a relatively austerely decorated spare bedroom that's clearly set up poorly for wide profile recording of vocal audio! Sorry about the sound quality on this one y'all.
A sparkling throng of guest stars contribute as an enormous amount of intricate plot wrap-ups occur across this 90 minutes of television. The biggest and, at the time, most sensational part revolves around Zoe Bartlet's kidnapping and the administration's reaction both personally and professionally. Spoiler: it's a particularly incendiary invocation of a lazy "shock value" plot device that's completely unnecessary and desperately exploitative. We also get to suffer through henpeck gossip, pregnancy, and mansplaining! Wow! Not great!
