Description

In collaboration with the School of Education and Curtin University’s Place Activation, Lunchtime Stories was a project that involved five international students sharing their experiences at Curtin, and around Western Australia. The five storytellers went through a series of workshops with Story Trainer, Michael Abercromby, where they learned to share their story with confidence in a succinct and engaging way. These stories were then shared live at lunchtime at the Creative Quarter, as part of Curtin’s commitment to activating underutilised space.

Candy is studying a Master’s degree in Education at Curtin University. Candy often finds herself over thinking things and worrying about how her actions might lead her in the wrong direction. She shares how learning and speaking English played a huge role in her education and how wearing mascara is never a good choice when talking to lecturers about difficult topics.
