The Apollo 11 crew perform a trans-lunar injection (TLI) burn to escape earth’s gravitational field and head into deep space. After docking the two spaceships, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin climb into the Lunar Module Eagle flown by Luminary software. Attempting to land on the moon their flight control computer crashes with a series of 1202 program alarms. Finally they bring Eagle down at Tranquility Base.
Michael Collins keeps a lonely vigil orbiting the moon in the Command Module Columbia and listens on the radio as his two crew mates exit the hatch and walk on the moon. All three Apollo astronauts perform a trans-earth injection (TEI) burn and return to earth triumphant.
They came in peace for all mankind.
