My good friend teaches a leadership class where blended families was the topic. He had the kids watch the movie Step-Mom starring Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon. He then asked them a series of questions about it. Knowing what I do, he told me what his plans were and I said, "record them!" So, here we step into the chaos of a Junior High classroom and hear real answers, no filter from the kids. It's interesting to hear what they think are causes of divorce, what dynamic occurs when a new person enters the family, and what traditions their parents have that they love.
