Description

Hannah Wallace works at the African-American Museum in Philadelphia, and the Colored Girls Museum. She's originally from Easton, PA (shout out to Larry Holmes) and came to Philly (Marian Anderson City) for college.

Her mothers family is originally from Sweden (we were both raised as Lutherans), and she actually comes from a long line of rug weavers. She is a fifth generation rug weaver!!!)

In this interview I share that I recently learned that the Philadelphia flag is based on the Swedish flag (Sweden had colonies in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland during the mid 17th-century.)
