Description

Die hard fans may choose to wear specific clothing, or sit in bizarre, uncomfortable places, or even forgo watching their team all together. Why? Because they are trying to control something that they have no control over: a game's outcome.

In 2016, the Chicago Cubs made history, breaking the 108 year old "Curse of the Billy Goat." Prior to Game 7, Cubs manager Joe Maddon affixed six letters to the upper right hand corner of that game's lineup card. DNBAFF: do not be a f--king fan. These six letters reminded Maddon to avoid getting swept up in the emotion of the game and to focus on the process of what it takes to win and the task at hand in the moment.
