Taking its name from the strong north winds of the Aegean Region, today's premiere blends melodic organic motifs with heavily rhythmic percussive & sampled elements - a signature of Greek-born, London -based artist Aonian, whom we are very pleased to welcome to Getting Deeper with the lovely 'Etesian' off his upcoming self-titled album.

---------
AONIAN is the moniker of Alkis Livathinos, a Greek born and London based producer who sonically infuses downtempo, trippy dance electronica with Mediterranean sounds.

With a new found love for ethnomusicology, AONIAN successfully pays homage to our past and present whilst remaining loyal to an ever-changing cultural identity.

Having already established a trusted reputation in composition across media and brands (including Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Glossier), AONIAN emerges from five-years of conceptual and instrumental experimentation, delivering a refreshing sound.

Aonian's recent debut single 'Ascent', was featured on Indie Shuffle's 'Hot Picks', and appeared in creative outlets Visual Atelier 8, Plastic Magazine, Secret Eclectic, as well as the top german music blog Ton Spion. His music has been supported by John Digweed, the London start-up Remixology HQ, as well as the highly curated 'The Rattle' music collective in London.

**On today's premiere of Etesian**
“With this track I wanted to let myself go from any predetermined musical goals and analyses, where simple improvisations on instruments like the piano, melodica, baglamas, and an ms20 synth would provide enough material for a coherent and melodically heavy track. It’s the one song that came to me quite effortlessly, and the last one I wrote and completed for this album. Named after the strong north winds of the Aegean Region, there’s a feeling of honesty and hope in the piece and even though it’s not one of the singles, it’s the one I go back to the most to re-listen”.
